About

“Face Value” is a blog dedicated to all things interface design & usability related. The name Face Value refers to the user interface of applications, which you might call an app’s “face”. The Value part obviously refers to the importance of said face.

So, what is to be expected on this blog? Well, the goal is to be a resource for quality UI/UX articles, be it on other sites or Face Value exclusives.
So who’s behind Face Value? Well, me; more specifically Max Steenbergen. I’m a UI & graphic designer for a Dutch yachting software company, and am currently combining a full-time job there with a 2-nights-a-week course in Communication & Multimedia Design. Lukas Mathis (of Ignore the Code fame) did a nice write-up on me a while back, should you be interested. Also, I’m on Twitter.

I invite you, dear reader, to get involved in Face Value. Do you have an idea for an article but no platform to publish, Face Value can help. While it will mostly be my own blog, I’d love to have guest writers. So contact me if you have an idea for co-operation, and we’ll make it happen. Oh, and comments are welcome!

Thanks,

Max
